  • Ode to New Hampshire

Symphony NH kicks off its 100th anniversary celebratory season with a musical tapestry incorporating historical and modern pieces and featuring works written about or in New Hampshire. Oliver Caplan’s Lunastella Fuga enfolds one in the magic of a simple summer night during a camping trip in New Hampshire. John Adam’s “Shaking and Trembling” from his Shaker Loops is a modern dance of dense, swirling sounds that juxtaposes beautifully with New Hampshirite Amy Beach’s renowned Bal Masque. Closing the evening is none other than Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite, a magestic symphonic piece highlighting the orchestra that will leave you dancing all the way home.

Holiday

  • Holiday Pops

Revel in the spirit of the holidays with a high octane, fun-filled program led by guest conductor Tiffany Lu, Director of the Sewanee Symphony Orchestra and former SNH cover conductor. Even the Grinch would be singing along to these festive favorites of yesteryear that will have you setting out cookies and milk, checking the rooftops for eight sets of tiny hooves, and leaving carrots on the lawn (hopefully on the crest of new fallen snow).
